The Santa Clara Broncos and the California Golden Bears will be meeting up in college basketball action on Monday from Haas Pavilion.

In Saturday’s game versus San Jose State, the Broncos got their first win 71-63. Topping the scorers for Santa Clara there was Tahj Eaddy with 23 points, six assists and three rebounds, and Josip Vrankic also had a nice game on 18 points and seven rebounds.
Over on the California side, they’re currently 1-3 this season. The Bears came out with a 76-59 loss to Yale, then beat Hampton 80-66 before falling in a tough one to St. John’s 82-79.
In their game last week versus Temple, the Golden Bears fell again 76-59. Darius McNeill led the scoring for Cal in that one with 12 points, three assists and two rebounds. Andre Kelly, Paris Austin and Matt Bradley each had 10 points for the Bears.
The Broncos are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six versus the Pac-12. Santa Clara is 4-1 ATS in their last five following an ATS win and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Monday games.
Meanwhile, the Bears are 12-2 ATS in their last 14 Monday games and 1-5 ATS in their last six versus the West Coast. The under is 20-8-1 in Cal’s last 29 overall and the over is 5-1 in their last six Monday games.
Santa Clara came out of the gate pretty flat, but the eight-point win over the Spartans should provide a little momentum moving forward.
As for Cal, they haven’t really hit a rhythm just yet, and part of that is likely due to their sporadic schedule in the early-going this season.
Still, I don’t think the Bears quite have the offense to push a cover here (though they should win), so I’m leaning toward Santa Clara.
