The 3rd ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs stay perfect on the season, improving to 6-0 on the year, after defeating the top-ranked Duke Blue Devils, 89-87, this past Wednesday in the championship game of the Maui Invitational. Gonzaga held a double-digit lead for the majority of the 2nd half, however, needed to a Brandon Clarke Block in the closing seconds to help hang on for the big victory. Gonzaga was outstanding on the offensive end as the Bulldogs shot 52.3% from the field and 52.6% from beyond the arc in the win. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Rui Hachimura who had 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks.

This is a huge number for Gonzaga to cover, especially as there is always a change of a let down after such a big game, however, I’m just having a hard time seeing how North Dakota State will cover this spread with how the Bison have looked so far this season. North Dakota State ranked just T-237th in scoring offense and has been even worse on the defensive end as they rank T-330th in rebound margin and 326th in defensive FG%. Gonzaga has a ton of weapons on the offensive end and the Bulldogs have been great ATS at home, I’m taking Gonzaga to cover this large spread.
