Iowa State dominated on both ends of the court against the Aztecs and easily secured the victory after taking a 65-40 lead with 8:49 left in regulation. The Mavericks are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 road games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Cyclones are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a losing road record however, are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 Monday games.
Omaha picked up a nice at home agianst Montana State, however, the Mavericks are just not a very good team and can really struggle on the defensive end as they currently rank just 255th in rebound margin and 301st in defensive FG%. Iowa State is loaded with talent and depth which was on full display in their last two dominating victories over Illinois & San Diego State. Iowa State has been solid on both ends of the court this season as they rank 107th in scoring offense, T-49th in scoring defense, and 34th in defensive FG%. Hilton Coliseum is a tough place to play and as I just don’t see Omaha being able to find success on either end of the court, I’m taking Iowa State to cover this large home spread.
