Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

On the season, South Dakota is averaging 69.8 ppg on 44.4% shooting from the field. The Coyotes are averaging 7.4 three-pointers per game on 34.6% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, South Dakota has been led by Trey Burch-Manning (17.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.8 spg), Triston Simpson (16.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.4 apg, 2.0 spg), Brandon Armstrong (11.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg), and Tyler Peterson (10.6 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 2.4 apg).

Defensively, South Dakota is holding their opponents to an average of 61.8 ppg on 43.5% shooting from the field. The Coyotes have a rebound margin of 0.2 and a turnover margin of 5.0.

The Baylor Bears improved to 4-2 on the season after defeating the George Mason Patriots, 72-61, this past Saturday. Baylor struggled offensively, however, did a great job on the defensive end against the Patriots and pulled away after taking a 61-50 lead with 2:59 left in regulation. Baylor shot just 38.9% from the field however, held George Mason to 36.7% from the field and 14.3% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bears was George Mason who had 27 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.

On the season, Baylor is averaging 77.2 ppg on 46.6% shooting from the field. The Bears are averaging 7.3 three-pointers per game on 31.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Baylor has been led by Makai Mason (15.7 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 2.7 apg), Tristan Clark (14.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.8 apg, 2.5 bpg), King McClure (14.0 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.7 apg, 1.5 spg), and Devonte Bandoo (10.8 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.3 apg).

Defensively, Baylor is holding their opponents to an average of 66.3 ppg on 40.3% shooting from the field. The Bears have a rebound margin of 4.5 and a turnover margin of 1.5.

The Coyotes are 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 road games and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. The Bears are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Tuesday games and 8-1 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Playing at the Ferrell Center is always a challenge, but this is South Dakota that returns a bunch of experience from a squad that picked up 26 wins last season while covering the spread in games at TCU, UCLA, and Duke last season. Baylor lost a bunch of talent from their team last year and although they have 4-wins on the season, they are a young team that did suffer a loss at home agianst Texas Southern to kick off their 2018-19 season. Both teams are solid on the defensive end, however, I think this is an above average South Dakota team that should be able to cover with the points in this one.
