The Northern Kentucky Norse will travel to Ellis T. Johnson Arena to take on the Morehead State Eagles this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.
The Northern Kentucky Norse suffered their first loss of the season, dropping the Norse to 6-1 on the season, after being defeated by the UCF Knights, 66-53, this past Saturday. Northern Kentucky struggled on the offensive end against the Knights and couldn’t fight back after an 23-6 UCF run to start the 2nd half gave the Knights a 57-38 lead with 10:16 left in regulation. Northern Kentucky shot just 32.2% from the field, 25.8% from beyond the arc, and was outrebounded by UCF by a 51-35 margin in the loss. Leading the way for the Norse was Drew McDonald who had 22 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and a block.

The Morehead State Eagles lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 2-4 on the season after being defeated by the Lipscomb Bison, 87-55, this past Sunday. Morehead State struggled on both ends of the court against Lipscomb and couldn’t fight back after going into halftime trailing by a 48-26 margin. Morehead State allowed Lipscomb to shoot 46.4% from the field while the Eagles shot just 35.5% from the field and 13.6% from beyond the arc. The Norse are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. OVC opponents and 19-9-2 ATS in their last 30 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. The Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Tuesday games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Northern Kentucky has dominated against lesser competition early this season and Morehead State certainly fits that category as they currently rank 339th in scoring defense & 311th in defensive FG%, I think Drew McDonald and the Norse do enough on the road to cover this spread.
