The Miami Hurricanes will look to bounce back after suffering a 57-54 loss to Rutgers in their last outing as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Anthony Lawrence II led the ‘Canes with 16 points on 6 of 13 shooting with 4 threes along with 8 rebounds and a team-high 4 assists while Ebuka Izundu and Zach Johnson each had 12 points to finish off the trio of double-digit scorers for Miami in the losing effort. Izundu added 12 rebounds for the double-double while Johnson shot 6 of 15 with 3 steals and a pair of blocks. Chris Lykes added 8 points and 4 assists of his own as well in the losing effort for the Hurricanes. Lykes leads Miami with an average of 17.7 points and 3.4 assists per game while Izundu leads the Hurricanes on the glass with 9 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Miami is averaging 79.3 points per game on 45.2% shooting from the field, 36% from behind the arc and 72.3% from the foul line this season.

Yale is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against the ACC while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games following a win. Miami is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 10-26 ATS in their last 36 home games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a loss.

I’ve gone back and forth on this game, however I’m going to side with Yale. Miami was rolling along pretty well before blowing it against Rutgers, and while Yale isn’t an offensive powerhouse, the Bulldogs still have more than enough talent to keep this one close. Yale has had three road games already to prepare themselves for this one, and have taken both Vermont and Memphis to their limits, keeping the losses within single digits, so I’ll side with Yale to do it again and take the points here.
