SoCon college basketball kicks off with the Mercer Bears visiting the Citadel Bulldogs.
The Mercer Bears begin conference play with a 4-3 record after routing sub-division Brewer Parker College 90-65 on Tuesday. Mercer sank half their looks and limited the Barons to just 39.7% with 21 forced turnovers.

Ross Cummings pumped in 31 points including eight makes from down town followed by a 15 point, nine assist performance from Djordje Dimitrijevic. Cory Kilby gave Mercer ten points and eight rebounds while Ethan Stair chipped in with nine points and another eight rebounds.
The Citadel Bulldogs are off to a solid start at 5-2 after outscoring High Point 112-87 on Tuesday. The Citadel did not miss often at 62.3% from the floor with High Point connecting at 42% with 20 more looks at the basket.
Kaiden Rice poured in a contest high 26 points on 9-14 accuracy followed by Matt Frierson with 23 points on 8-12 including seven long balls. The Bulldogs received 17 points from Connor Kern on 6-8 shooting and another five long balls while Lew Stallworth added 14 points, six rebounds and 12 assists on 6-8 from the floor.
