The Oakland Golden Grizzlies and the Xavier Musketeers will meet up in college basketball action on Saturday.
Oakland comes into this one at 3-4 on the season. The Grizzlies opened up with losses to Toledo, Western Michigan and UNLV, but then rattled off wins over Defiance, James Madison and Oral Roberts before falling to Northern Illinois.

In the Huskies game, Oakland’s top scorer was Xavier Hill-Mais, who just missed a double-double on 22 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Braden Norris did manage to double up, posting 18 points, 10 assists and three rebounds.
Over on the Xavier side, they’re 4-3 this year. The Musketeers came out firing with wins over IUPUI and Evansville, but then dropped to Wisconsin, Auburn and San Diego State before taking out Illinois and Miami OH.
In the RedHawks game, Xavier’s Naji Marshall led the team on 17 points, six rebounds and two assists. Tyrique Jones managed a double-double for the Musketeers with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
The Golden Grizzlies are 8-20 ATS in their last 28 following an ATS loss and 5-17 ATS in their last 22 following a straight-up loss. Oakland is 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and the under is 6-0 in their last six road games.
Meanwhile, the Musketeers are 2-5-2 ATS in their last nine non-conference games and 2-6-2 ATS in their last 10 overall. Xavier is 1-4 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 1-5-2 ATS in their last eight home games.
When the Grizzlies are on, they put up a lot of points, which covers up for the fact that they give away a lot of opportunities on the other side. In three of their four losses, Oakland has surrendered at least 85 points.
As for Xavier, they opened up the year pretty competitively, and after the San Diego State stumble they’re looking back on track.
Still, I like Oakland’s offense enough to warrant a cover pick here.
