The William & Mary Tribe and the Old Dominion Monarchs will match up on the college basketball circuit Wednesday.
William & Mary rolls into this one at 2-6 so far. The Tribe have gotten victories over High Point and Saint Joseph’s, but dropped their other games versus Duquesne, UIC, Notre Dame, Radford, Marshall and George Mason.

In the Patriots game, W&M’s lead scorer was Nathan Knight with 22 points, four rebounds and four assists. Justin Pierce added a double-double for the Tribe with 19 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.

In the Dukes game, ODU’s BJ Stith led the team on 28 points and eight rebounds, while Ahmad Caver had a nice line as well with 25 points, eight assists and five boards as the only other player in double-figures for the Monarchs.
The Tribe are 5-1 ATS in their last six versus Conference USA and 4-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games. William & Mary is also 2-6 ATS in their last eight overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Monarchs are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six Wednesday games. ODU is 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games.
William & Mary just isn’t looking great this year, and their record reflects that. That said, the Tribe do have some capable scorers on their roster—it’s just that they’re letting things get out of hand on the other side.
Old Dominion is much better defensively, but they also seem to lack the depth to put up huge points totals on a consistent basis. I’m going to go with the Tribe to hang around and cover here.
