Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

On the season, Saint Joseph’s is averaging 79.6 ppg on 44.2% shooting from the field. The Hawks are averaging 9.9 three-pointers per game on 38.9% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Saint Joseph’s has been led by Charlie Brown (23.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg), Lamarr Kimble (17.5 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 2.6 apg), Jared Bynum (13.3 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.6 apg), and Taylor Funk (11.1 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.4 apg).

Defensively, Saint Joseph’s is allowing their opponents to average 76.1 ppg on 45.4% shooting from the field. The Hawks have a rebound margin of -2.5 and a turnover margin of 3.8.

The Princeton Tigers won their 3rd straight game and improved to 4-2 on the season after defeating the George Washington Colonials, 73-52, this past Saturday. In what was Princeton’s most impressive victory of the season, the Tigers were able to pull away for the easy victory after a 13-0 run gave Princeton a 61-45 lead wit 4:36 left in regulation. Princeton shot 52.1% from the field while holding George Washington to just 34.5% shooting from the field and 15.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Tigers was Myles Stephens who had a double-double with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 steals.

On the season, Princeton is averaging 69.0 ppg on 41.1% shooting from the field. The Tigers are averaging 7.2 three-pointers per game on 30.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Princeton has been led by Devin Cannady (21.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.3 apg), Myles Stephens (15.4 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.0 spg), Richmond Aririguzoh (8.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 1.0 bpg), and Jose Morales (6.5 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 3.0 apg, 2.8 spg).

Defensively, Princeton is holding their opponents to an average of 61.3 ppg on 39.2% shooting from the field. The Tigers have a rebound margin of -0.7 and a turnover margin of 2.7.

The Hawks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games vs. Ivy League opponents. The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS win however, just 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall.

Princeton is always a team that is fundamentally sound however, even with their solid defense, their inability to get scoring from anyone outside Cannady or Stephens might be difficult for the Tigers to overcome at times this season. Saint Joseph’s has been battled tested this season after playing a lot of quality opponents and as I think their offense, led by Brown, Kimble, and Bynum, will be too much for the Tigers to keep pace with, I’m taking the Hawks to cover this small road spread.
