The DePaul Blue Demons and the Northwestern Wildcats will be meeting up in college basketball action on Saturday.
DePaul enters this one at 5-1 on the year. The Demons fell to Notre Dame this year, but aside from that they’ve rolled through B-CU, Morgan State, Penn State, Cleveland State and Florida A&M this season.

In the Rattlers game, DePaul’s Femi Olujobi led the scoring on 16 points and seven rebounds, while Paul Reed just missed on a double-double with 14 rebounds, nine points and two assists.
Over on the Northwestern side, they’re sitting at 6-3 this year. The Wildcats have taken out New Orleans, American, Binghamton, La Salle, Utah and Georgia Tech while falling to Fresno State, Indiana and Michigan.
In the 62-60 loss to the Wolverines, Northwestern’s Dererk Pardon put up 20 points, five rebounds and two assists, while Vic Law had a nice outing on 19 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
The Blue Demons are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games and 7-20-2 ATS in their last 29 following a straight-up win. DePaul is 2-6 ATS in their last eight versus the Big Ten and the under is 7-3 in their last 10 overall.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats are 4-1 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. Northwestern is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 versus the Big East and 2-5 ATS in their last seven following an ATS win.
DePaul is looking pretty good so far this year, and aside from that 25-point loss to the Irish they haven’t had a whole lot of trouble dispatching teams in their wins—save for a close-but-impressive 72-70 win over the Nittany Lions.
As for Northwestern, they recovered after a limp effort against Fresno State and have been playing tough over their last five games. I like the Wildcats to keep it going here and cover in what should be a fun game to watch.
