The Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Tennessee Volunteers will meet up in college basketball action on Sunday.
Gonzaga enters this one at 9-0 on the season. In succession so far this year, the Bulldogs have dispatched Idaho State, Texas Southern, Texas A&M, Illinois, Arizona, Duke, ND State, Creighton and Washington.

In the Huskies game, Gonzaga’s Rui Hachimura led the team on 26 points with seven rebounds and two assists. Brandon Clarke posted a double-double for the Bulldogs with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Zach Norvell chipped in 14 points, seven assists and six boards.
Over on the Tennessee side, they’re 6-1 this season. Outside of a loss to Kansas November 23, the Volunteers have rolled through Lenoir-Rhyne, Louisiana, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Eastern Kentucky and Texas A&M-CC.
In the Islanders game, Tennessee’s Admiral Schofield put up 16 points with two assists and three rebounds to lead the scoring, while Grant Williams and Jordan Bowden each had 14. Kyle Alexander doubled up for the Vols on 12 points and 10 boards in that one.
Tennessee is 3-0-1 ATS in their last four following an ATS loss and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five overall. The Volunteers are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five versus the West Coast and 1-4 ATS in their last five Sunday games.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last four following an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five following a straight-up win. Gonzaga is 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games.
The Washington game gave the Bulldogs unexpected trouble, but Gonzaga showed some resiliency in buckling down and closing things out after a sub-par second half. It’s the first team outside of Duke the Bulldogs have had much difficulty with this year.
We’ll get to see what Gonzaga is made of here in a matchup with a Tennessee team that’s been pretty good at putting up points this season. The Vols have put up at least 79 points in all but one game this year, and I like them to come in strong versus Gonzaga and keep things competitive. I’ll take Tennessee on the cover. Clear your schedule Sunday; this will be a must-watch game.
