The VCU Rams and the Virginia Cavaliers will meet up in college basketball action on Sunday.
VCU enters this one at 7-2 on the season. The Rams have fallen to St. John’s and Old Dominion this year, but they’ve won their last two games versus Iona and Texas.

In the Longhorns game, VCU’s Marcus Evans led the team on 16 points with three assists and four rebounds, while Marcus Santos-Silva bagged a double-double on 10 points and 16 rebounds in the 54-53 victory.
Over on the Virginia side, they're 8-0 this season. So far the Cavs have taken out Towson, GW, Coppin State, Middle Tennessee, Dayton, Wisconsin, Maryland and Morgan State in succession this year.
In the Bears game, Virginia’s Kyle Guy and De’Andre Hunter led the team on 15 points apiece, with three assists and two rebounds between them. It was a true all-around effort for the Cavs, as every player on the roster managed to score in that game.
The Rams are 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight non-conference games and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight overall. VCU is 0-4 ATS in their last four versus the ACC and the under is 4-0 in their last four overall.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers are 5-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games and 5-1 ATS in their last six overall. Virginia is 5-1 ATS in their last five home games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight Sunday games.
Aside from a 62-52 loss to Old Dominion a few games back, VCU has been competitive in every matchup this season. Despite a few close heart-attack games here and there, the Rams have been taking care of business and looking pretty good doing it.
I don’t see Virginia running away with a huge win in this matchup. The Cavs in all likelihood will win and keep their season rolling, but I think VCU has enough juice to get in there for a cover.
