The Toledo Rockets won their 7th straight game and improved to 9-1 on the season after defeating the Marshall Thundering Herd, 75-74 in OT, this past Saturday. Toledo allowed Marshall to fight back and force overtime after holding a 20-point lead early in the 2nd half, however, was able to still get the victory after Marreon Jackson hit a game winning jumper with just :03 seconds left in regulation. Toledo won despite shooting just 36.1% from the field and 29.4% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Rockets was Jaelan Sanford who had 20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and a block.

The Blue Raiders are 2-12 ATS in their last 14 non-conference games and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS loss. The Rockets are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall however, just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games.
It’s been an ugly stretch for Middle Tennessee as although they’ve played decent competition during their 6-game losing streak, the Blue Raiders have lost all 6 games by at least double-digits. If the Blue Raiders are going to turn around their season, they’ll need to fix an offense that ranks just 320th in scoring offense and 290th in FG%. Toledo hasn’t played much in competition so far this season, but the victory at Marshall was impressive. The Rockets have been solid on both ends of the court this season as they currently rank 40th in scoring offense and T-73rd in scoring defense. Toledo has been solid against weaker competition this season and as I think Middle Tennessee falls into that category, I’m taking Toledo to cover this large spread at home.
