Thursday college basketball brings us the UL Monroe Warhawks taking the floor with the UALR Trojans.
The Arkansas Little Rock Trojans have been in a bit of a funk with losses in four of five following a 102-94 OT defeat at Georgetown as a 13.5 point underdog.
UALR held a 50%-40.5% shooting edge but Georgetown mustered 18 more shots on 23 forced turnovers for the decisive advantage.
Nikola Maric poured in 27 points and grabbed eight board to keep the Trojans competitive followed by Markquis Nowell with 24 points, six helpers and five steals.
Arkansas Little Rock saw 16 points, 14 rebounds and four assists from Rayjon Tucker followed by a ten point effort by Kamani Johnson.
The UL Monroe Warhawks saw a four game winning streak end in an 81-69 loss at LSU as a 16.5 point underdog. UL Monroe trailed by nine point at the break but remained loosely competitive despite 17 turnovers and 39% shooting.
Daishon Smith topped the Warhawks with 22 points, three yanks and three assists on 7-12 marksmanship and 6-7 at the line followed by a 21 point, six rebound effort from Michael Ertel on 6-12 from the floor and 4-6 at the stripe.
Four others gave the Warhawks contributed six points apiece but the offense was really a two man game.
UALR are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 vs. Sun Belt and UALR are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games UALR are 35-16 ATS in their last 51 Thursday games. Louisiana-Monroe has the better record but I don’t see the difference between these teams being night and day…
