The Siena Saints and the Quinnipiac Bobcats meet in college basketball action from TD Bank Sports Center on Wednesday.
Siena enters this game at 15-10 so far. Over the last five games, Siena is undefeated with wins over Fairfield, Rider, Manhattan, Iona and Fairfield again in succession during that stretch.
In the win over the Stags, Siena’s Elijah Burns led the team with 15 points, five rebounds and one assist. Jalen Pickett added 14 points, four rebounds and five assists there, and Manny Camper doubled up on 13 points, 10 rebounds and two assists for Siena.
Over on the Quinnipiac side, they’re 12-14 so far. Over the last seven, Quinnipiac has just one win (Canisius) alongside losses to Niagara, Iona, Manhattan, Saint Peter’s, Rider and Monmouth.
In the loss to the Hawks, Quinnipiac’s top scorer was Aaron Falzon with 24 points and six rebounds. Rich Kelly was right there as well on 20 points, four assists and three boards, and Kevin Marfo added 13 rebounds, two assists and nine points.
Quinnipiac is 0-5 ATS in their last five after a straight-up loss and 4-0 ATS in their last four Wednesday games. Quinnipiac is 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 0-7 ATS in their last seven overall.
Meanwhile, Siena is 0-4 ATS in their last four Wednesday games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS loss. Siena is 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games and the under is 5-0 in their last five overall.
During this win streak, Siena has posted more than 65 points just once (73 versus Rider) and they’ve held their opponents to 64 or fewer points in every game. It’s been a great defensive run, but a little odd since Siena has finished above 70 points more often than not for most of the season.
As for Quinnipiac, they’ve had some good offensive outings here and there but they’ve also struggled at times, like the 84-61 road loss the last time these teams met up. This one should be much closer, but I still like Siena on the cover.
