The Princeton Tigers and the Brown Bears meet in Ivy League college basketball action from the Pizzitola Sports Center on Friday night.
The Princeton Tigers will look to pull even with Yale atop the Ivy League mountain, sitting a game back at 7-3 in conference play this season following a 65-62 win over Dartmouth last time out. Jaelin Llewellyn leads Princeton in scoring with 14.4 PPG while Richmond Aririguzoh has 13 PPG and a team-high 7.7 RPG this season. Ryan Schwieger also has 11.4 PPG and a team-hig 2.5 APG this season. As a team, Princeton is averaging 71 points on 46.2% shooting from the field, 34.4% from 3-point range and 71.8% from the foul line while allowing opposing teams to average 69.9 points on 47.1% shooting from the field and 33.3% from 3-point range this season. Princeton is 4-5 straight up and 5-4 against the spread on the road this season.
The Brown Bears will try to pull even with Princeton in the Ivy League standings, sitting at 6-4 in conference play after a 63-45 loss to Cornell last time out. Brandon Anderson leads Brown in scoring with 18 PPG while Tamenang Choh has 13.3 PPG and team-highs of 8 RPG and 3.3 APG this season. Zach Hunsaker is also contributing 11.7 PPG for Brown this season. As a team, Brown is averaging 67.7 points on 40.5% shooting from the field, 30.4% from 3-point range and 71.6% from the foul line while allowing their opposition to average 69.4 points on 43.2% shooting from the field and 33.1% from 3-point range this season. Brown is 10-2 straight up and 6-4-1 against the spread at home this season.
Head-to-head, the road team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.
Maybe someone’s telling me something with this line being a pick ‘em, and the fact that the road team’s had so much success in this matchup. However, this game means a ton to Brown as the Bears are on the edge of the playoff picture in the Ivy League right now, sitting 4th in a league where only the top four teams make it and only a game up on the only team that can catch them. I just think that Brown shows up here at home, where they’ve done their best work all season, so I’ll take the Bears at home here.
