The Line: North Dakota State Bison -9 -- Over/Under: 144.5
The Omaha Mavericks and the North Dakota State Bison meet in college basketball action from Scheels Center on Saturday.
Omaha enters this one at 16-14 so far. Over the last four games, Omaha is on a winning streak, taking out Denver, Fort Wayne, Western Illinois and North Dakota during that time.
In the win over North Dakota, Omaha’s lead scorer was Wanjang Tut with 19 points and six rebounds. Marlon Ruffin added 18 points, three assists and four rebounds there, and JT Gibson chipped in 15 points, two assists and one rebound.
Over on the North Dakota State side, they’re 21-8 this year. North Dakota State recently had a 10-game win streak broken with a loss to North Dakota, but they got a win their last time out versus SD State.
In the OT win over South Dakota State, North Dakota State’s Tyson Ward led the way on 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Vinnie Shahid added 12 points, four rebounds and one assist there, and Rocky Kreuser had 11 points with six boards.
North Dakota State is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 after an ATS loss and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four home games. North Dakota State is 1-3-1 ATS in their last five overall and the under is 7-3 in the last 10 Saturday games.
Meanwhile, Omaha is 1-4 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven after an ATS loss. Omaha is 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and the over is 9-3 in their last 12 overall.
Omaha is on a pretty good scoring run lately, outside of a few exceptions. Omaha managed 93 points in the Western Illinois game, then hung 84 on North Dakota in the one-point victory their last time out. It’s pretty rare when Omaha isn’t over 70 these days.
As for North Dakota State, they’re a good scoring team themselves, and they’ve spent a ton of time on the right side of 70 this year. In any case, this should be a fun game but I think North Dakota State can eke one out.
