The Line: Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers -3 -- Over/Under: 144
The Youngstown State Penguins and the Milwaukee Panthers meet in college basketball action from UWM Panther Arena on Saturday.
Youngstown State comes into this one at 16-14 so far. In the last four games, Youngstown State is 1-3, beating Wright State and otherwise falling to Oakland, Northern Kentucky and Green Bay.
In the loss to Green Bay, Youngstown State’s Darius Quisneberry put up 29 points, five assists and two rebounds. Michael Akuchie added 17 points and seven boards there, and Naz Bohannon had 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Over on the Milwaukee side, they’re 12-17 overall. It’s been a four-game losing streak for Milwaukee over their last quartet, losing to Green Bay, Oakland, Detroit and Cleveland State.
In the loss to Cleveland State, Milwaukee’s Darius Roy led the team on 26 points, four assists and five rebounds. Both Josh Thomas and CJ Wilbourn notched 10 points apiece there, combining for three assists and six rebounds as well.
Milwaukee is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games and 0-4 ATS in their last four after an ATS loss. Milwaukee is 2-9 ATS in their last 11 home games and 0-5 ATS in their last five overall.
Meanwhile, Youngstown State is 5-1 ATS in their last six Saturday games and 4-0 ATS in their last four after an ATS loss. Youngstown State is 5-2 ATS in the last seven overall and the over is 9-3 in their last 12 overall.
Youngstown State has been all over the place scoring-wise lately, but they’re capable of putting up some pretty good totals more often than not. The Penguins put up 92 points (and gave up 102) against Green Bay and 88 points versus Wright State, so they can score when so motivated.
Milwaukee has notched some nice offensive outings lately as well, so this one should be a higher-scoring game. With the comfortable home advantage I like Milwaukee a little better here in what should be a fun matchup. If you like messing with the over/under total this looks like a pretty solid opportunity to go over as well; lots of interesting things here.
