The Line: UTSA Roadrunners -3.5 -- Over/Under: 149
The UAB Blazers and the UT San Antonio Roadrunners meet in college basketball action from UTSA Convocation Center on Sunday.
UAB enters this one at 17-12 on the year. In the last four games, UAB is 3-1, falling to Florida Atlantic while otherwise taking out Middle Tennessee twice in succession and Marshall during that time.
In the win over the Herd, UAB’s leading scorer was Tyreek Scott-Grayson with 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Will Butler put up a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds there and Jalen Benjamin had 14 points with three rebounds.
Over on the UTSA side, they’re 12-16 this year. In their last four games, UT San Antonio is just 1-3, with a win over Marshall alongside losses to Charlotte, Western Kentucky and Florida Atlantic.
In the loss to Florida Atlantic, UTSA’s Jhivvan Jackson led the team on 38 points with one rebound. Luka Barisic chipped in 12 points in that one, and Keaton Wallace bagged 11 points with four rebounds and two assists for UTSA there.
UT San Antonio is 5-1 ATS in their last six Sunday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up loss. UTSA is 2-5 ATS in the last seven overall and 34-16-1 ATS in their last 51 home games.
Meanwhile, UAB is 4-1 ATS in the last five road games and 13-6-1 ATS in the last 20 after an ATS win. The over is 5-1 in UAB’s last six overall and the under is 18-4 in the last 22 Sunday games.
During their last three wins, UAB has put up some nice offensive numbers, with 79 or more points scored in each. It’s worth noting that two of those wins came against a pretty bad Middle Tennessee team, but still.
As for UTSA, they’ve scored well themselves, with 71 or more in each of their last six games. The Roadrunners are just 2-4 in that time however. Still, with a home push I think UT San Antonio can bang out a cover here. Should be a fun and tight game, so don't miss this one.
