The Line: Louisiana Tech Bulldogs -10 -- Over/Under: 143
The FIU Panthers and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs meet in college basketball action from Thomas Assembly Center on Wednesday.
FIU sits at 18-11 this season. Following a three-game losing streak to LA Tech, Southern Miss and North Texas, Florida International got back in the win column versus Charlotte on Sunday.
In the win over Charlotte, FIU’s Osasumwen Osaghae led the team on 19 points, 12 rebounds and one assist. Antonio Daye added 14 points, two rebounds and one assist there, and Trejon Jacob had 13 points with three rebounds and two assists.
Over on the LA Tech side, they’re 20-8 so far. After a three-game win streak over FIU, Florida Atlantic and North Texas, LA Tech lost their last game to Western Kentucky back on Thursday.
In the OT loss to Western Kentucky, LA Tech’s Derric Jean led the way on 16 points with four rebounds. JaColby Pemberton doubled up for LA Tech there on 15 points, 10 rebounds and one assist, and DaQuan Brace had 15 points and five assists.
LA Tech is 4-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 15-7 ATS in their last 22 home games. LA Tech is 2-5 ATS in the last seven overall and the over is 8-2 in their last 10 overall.
Meanwhile, FIU is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall. FIU is 5-2 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win and the under is 5-0 in the last five road games.
FIU isn’t a big-scoring team these days, as they’ve been under 70 points in each of their last six games. Still, FIU is 3-3 in that span so it hasn’t been as bad as it could have been. One of those losses came 60-57 on the road versus LA Tech on February 13, however.
That win was the first of the three wins for LA Tech, and in their last trio the Bulldogs have hit 73 or more each time. All things considered here, LA Tech is probably the safer pick due to their more consistent offense recently.
