The Bucknell Bison and the American Eagles meet in college basketball action from Bender Arena on Thursday.

Bucknell comes into this Patriot League Tournament game at 13-19 overall. After losing two of three games heading into the tourney, Bucknell was able to snag a 65-62 win over Holy Cross Tuesday.

In the win over Holy Cross, Bucknell’s Andrew Funk led the way on 17 points, three rebounds and three assists. Jimmy Sotos put up 14 points with three rebounds and two assists and Avi Toomer had 10 points with four rebounds and two assists.

Over on the American side, they’re 16-13 this year. Since their last loss to Boston U on February 23, American has managed wins over Lafayette and Holy Cross in consecutive outings.
In the win over Holy Cross, American’s lead scorers were Mark Gasperini and Jamir Harris, each with 13 points, three assists and a combined 12 rebounds. Ben Lubarsky chipped in 12 points with three rebounds and one assist there as well.

American is 2-5 ATS in their last seven Thursday games and 5-0 ATS in their last five home games. American is 4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win and 4-0 ATS in their last four overall.

Meanwhile, Bucknell is 8-20 ATS in their last 28 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall. The under is 18-7-1 in Bucknell’s last 26 overall and 5-0 in their last five games after an ATS loss.

Bucknell let things get away in the second half of the Holy Cross game but they’d built enough of a lead by then that it wasn’t an issue. Still, Bucknell has been quite shaky over the last four games (2-2), and each has been decided by three points or fewer.

It’s worth noting that Bucknell won the last time these teams met up, 72-68 at home. American has hit 71 or more in three of four games since then, and has a combined 169 points in their last pair. I like American to roll through here and get a revenge cover; they've been scoring well enough for me to trust them in this one.

Andrew’s Pick American Eagles -6
