The Yale Bulldogs and the Dartmouth Big Green meet in college basketball action from Leede Arena on Friday.
Yale enters this game at 22-6 overall. Since their last loss to Penn on February 15, Yale has built a four-game winning streak over Cornell, Columbia, Penn and Princeton in succession.
In the win over Princeton, Yale’s Paul Atkinson was the lead scorer on 18 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Bruner doubled up there with 12 rebounds, four assists and 11 points, and Azar Swain had 11 points, two assists and two rebounds.
Over on the Dartmouth side, they’re 12-15 this year. In the last six games, Dartmouth is 5-1, losing to Princeton and otherwise beating Columbia, Cornell, Penn, Cornell and Columbia in succession during that stretch.
In the win over Columbia, Dartmouth’s top scorer was Chris Knight, who posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. James Foye was also in double-digits for Dartmouth there with 15 points, four rebounds and two assists.
Dartmouth is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 after an ATS win. Dartmouth is 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and the under is 7-2 in their last nine Friday games.
Meanwhile, Yale is 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 Friday games and 11-4 ATS in their last 15 after an ATS loss. Yale is 15-5 ATS in their last 20 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five overall.
Yale has looked pretty sharp over this four-game win streak, but really only one of those games wasn’t close (83-65 over Columbia). The other three wins were each decided by three points or fewer, and it took Yale two overtime periods to beat a bad Cornell team 81-80.
Dartmouth has managed a combined 146 points across their last two games, so they’re looking good despite those outings being against Cornell and Columbia. Yale destroyed Dartmouth 75-57 at home the last time these teams met up. I think the Green get some revenge here. I’m going Dartmouth. If all goes well, I think Dartmouth could even flirt with a win in this one.
