The Weber State Wildcats and the Eastern Washington Eagles meet in college basketball action from Reese Court on Saturday.
Weber State enters this one at 13-18 on the year. Across their last four outings, Weber State is 2-2, with losses to Portland State and Idaho State alongside wins over Southern Utah and Idaho otherwise.
In the win over Idaho, Weber State’s Cody John led the team on 21 points, six rebounds and two assists. Michal Kozak added 20 points with nine rebounds there, and Jerrick Harding had 16 points, three rebounds and three assists for Weber State.
Over on the Eastern Washington side, they’re 23-8 this season. Currently Eastern Washington is on a six-game win streak, beating Portland State, Sacramento State, Northern Arizona, Southern Utah, Northern Colorado and Idaho State in that time.
In the win over Idaho State, Eastern Washington’s Jacob Davison put up 23 points with four assists and three rebounds. Mason Peatling doubled up on 16 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists there, and Casson Rouse had 21 points, two assists and one rebound.
Eastern Washington is 5-0 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 4-0 ATS in their last four after a straight-up win. Eastern Washington is 4-0 ATS in their last four overall and the under is 4-1 in their last five Saturday games.
Meanwhile, Weber State is 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 Saturday games and 4-13 ATS in their last 17 road games. Weber State is 2-9 ATS in their last 11 after an ATS win and the over is 4-1 in the last five overall.
The good news with Weber State over the past four games—despite the 2-2 record—is that they’re still scoring well. In each outing of that quartet, Weber State has put up 70 points or more, and they’ve hit 80-plus twice as well. It’s a nice bounce back from 37 against Montana a few weeks back. Yikes.
In any case, Eastern Washington is a pretty good scoring team in their own right, so I expect this one to be a fairly big total. I like Eastern Washington to keep rolling and bang out a cover here.
