Idaho State took a loss in their first outing of the year, dropping 62-49 to Santa Clara. Leading the scoring for the Bengals in that one was Tarik Cool with 11 points, four rebounds and two assists. Daxton Carr and Malik Porter added 10 points apiece, while combining for 11 rebounds and one assist.
In the Friday game against Nicholls State, the Bengals managed just 15 points in the first half on the way to a 70-51 defeat. Robert Ford led the way for Idaho State in the loss, posting 13 points, four rebounds and three assists.

In the game two loss, UC Davis kept it close but ultimately fell in a tough one 66-63. Leading the way in that one was Manjon again, with 21 points, four assists and three rebounds. Ba had another nice game as well with 14 points and two rebounds, while Elijah Pepper posted nine points and nine boards.
The Bengals are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog and 0-6-1 ATS in their last seven games as a favorite. Idaho State is 0-4 ATS in the last four Saturday games and the over is 7-1 in the last eight Saturday games.
Meanwhile, UC Davis is 10-26-1 ATS in their last 37 neutral-site games and 8-2-1 ATS in the last 11 Saturday games. The Aggies are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 as a favorite.
PICK: I’m going to stick with UC Davis in this one, but there’s not a ton to like about the matchup. Neither team has scored all that well this season, and some of the bench contributions aren’t coming through either. Idaho State seems a little more balanced overall but UC Davis probably has more talent on the roster. This should be a relatively lower-scoring game and I like the Aggies to power out a cover.
