UMass has two games against Northeastern under their belt this year, and two different results. The first was a 94-79 win over the Huskies on Friday. The Minutemen were up 47-36 at halftime in that one. Leading the way in scoring for UMass was Tre Mitchell with 31 points, 11 rebounds and two assists.
Game two on Sunday didn’t go as well for the Minutemen, and they fell to Northeastern 78-75. Jahvon Garcia led UMass in scoring there with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists. Noah Fernandes added 15 points with five rebounds and TJ Weeks chipped in 14 points with six boards.

In the win over the Dragons, La Salle’s leading scorer was Anwar Gill with 15 points, three rebounds and two assists. David Beatty added 11 points with three assists, and Jack Clark pulled down 13 rebounds with seven points.
The Explorers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS win and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six overall. La Salle is 2-5 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up win and the over is 7-2 in their last nine home games.
Meanwhile, UMass is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games and 5-14 ATS in their last 19 road games. The Minutemen are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 overall and the over is 9-4 in their last 13 road games.
PICK: I’m going UMass. La Salle stumbled out of the gate with some tepid offensive performances, posting 65 or fewer points in each of their three losses. The Explorers have done a solid job on defense overall however, and used that well in the Drexel game. That said, the Minutemen posted a combined 169 points in their first two games and have a pretty good group of scorers at the top of their roster. If UMass can some shots falling early here, I like them on a cover.
