The Miami-OH Redhawks and the Bradley Braves meet Saturday in college basketball action from Carver Arena.

Miami-OH enters this one at 3-2 so far. The Redhawks had consecutive wins going before falling to Buffalo in a blowout during their last outing Tuesday. As for Bradley, they’re sitting at 5-2 this year. The Braves have won their last two games versus Lewis and Jackson State. Miami-OH opened up the year with an 81-67 win over North Dakota, then fell to Wright State 71-47. The Redhawks managed wins 67-57 over Western Illinois and 79-64 over Mt. Saint Joseph, but then fell big to Buffalo 90-62 on Tuesday.

In the loss to the Bulls, Miami-OH’s leading scorer was Isaiah Coleman-Lands with 12 points, four rebounds and one assist. The only other Redhawks player to make double-figures in that game was Mekhi Lairy with 10 points, three assists and two rebounds.

Over on the Bradley side, they’re doing pretty well with only two close losses to their credit. The Braves beat Toledo in the opener, then fell 51-50 to Xavier in game two. Wins over Oakland and Judson followed, as did a loss to SD State 88-84. Since then Bradley has beaten Lewis 95-62 and Jackson State 83-60.

In the win over the Tigers, Bradley’s leading scorer was Ville Tahvanainen with 19 points, seven rebounds and one assist. Both Ja’Shon Henry and Terry Nolan contributed 16 points apiece, combining for four rebounds and five assists.

The Braves are 2-5 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus a team with a winning straight-up record. The over is 10-3 in Bradley’s last 13 overall and 4-1 in their last five home games.

Meanwhile, the Redhawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games versus a team with a winning home record and the under is 13-3 in their last 16 overall. The under is 6-0 in Miami-OH’s last six Saturday games and 8-1 in their last nine road games.

PICK: I like Bradley in this one. Miami-OH has had a couple of solid offensive games this season, but also a few duds. the Redhawks have hit 79 or more in two games, and 67 points or fewer in the other three. As for Bradley, they’ve been competitive in every game so far and have been putting up some nice offensive numbers (83 or more points in each of their last four). I like the Braves to come out swinging here.
