The Delaware State Hornets and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets meet in college basketball action from McCamish Pavilion on Sunday evening.

Johquin Wiley led the Hornets with 19 points on 5 of 12 shooting with 3 threes and a team-high 4 assists while Omari Peek-Green added 14 points with 4 threes and Martez Robinson added 12 points with 4 assists of his own. Myles Carter added 10 points with 3 steals to cap off the scoring in double figures for Delaware State in the losing effort. Pinky Wiley leads Delaware State in scoring with 15 points per game while Robinson leads the Hornets in rebounding and assists with an average of 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season. As a team, Delaware State is averaging 62 points on 31.9% shooting from the field, 32.1% from 3-point range and 76.2% from the foul line while allowing opposing teams to average 105 points on 54.2% shooting from the field and 42.6% from 3-point range this season.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will look to build off of a 74-64 win over Florida A&M last time out. Moses Wright led the Jackets with 24 points on 9 of 17 shooting with 7 rebounds while Michael Devoe chipped in 15 points on 6 of 11 shooting with a pair of threes and a team-high 8 assists. Delaware State is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a loss while the over is 8-1 in their last 9 games overall. Georgia Tech is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 Sunday games.

I get that this is a lot of points for a Georgia Tech team that just looked flat against Florida State, but this seems like a good get-right spot for the Yellow Jackets as Delaware State is just horrendous on defense and while it’s only a two-game sample size, allowing 105 points per game and getting crushed by 60 against another ACC team in Wake Forest doesn’t inspire much confidence. Georgia Tech still has that win over Kentucky and a win over Nebraska as well, and I think the Yellow Jackets can get into a rhythm here. If Wake can win by 60, I’m pretty sure Georgia Tech can win by at least 40. I’ll lay the points with Georgia Tech in this spot.
