The Charleston Southern Buccaneers will be looking to build on their first win of the season coming in the form of a 94-59 beatdown of subdivision Carver Bible College last time out. Jamir Moore led the Bucs with 16 points on 6 of 9 shooting with 4 threes while Phlandrous Fleming Jr. and Malik Battle each had 15 points with 6 made field goals and Jaquavian Florence added 14 points with 3 triples and team-highs of 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Hampton is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400 while the over is 19-9 in their last 28 games overall. Charleston Southern is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games overall while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 Monday games. The home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
I get that Charleston Southern finally got on the board here with their win last time out, but a win over a subdivision program in Carver Bible College that’s gotten blasted every time they take on a D-I program this season does nothing to impress me. Hampton just blew a huge lead against Howard which is a red flag to begin with, but the Pirates are used o playing on the road and have had more success scoring the basketball, topping at least 70 points in three of five games this season while Charleston Southern is averaging 58 points per game against D-I opponents. I’ll take my chances with Hampton and the points as well as sprinkling a bit on the under as well as I’m not seeing a ton of points in this game.
