The USF Bulls will look to add to their 5-2 mark this year after a 74-71 win over Cincinnati last time out. Alexis Yetna led the Bulls with 16 points on 6 of 10 shooting with a pair of threes and 12 rebounds for the double-double while Michael Durr and Xavier Castaneda added 14 points apiece with Durr shooting 6 of 10 with 10 rebounds and a pair of blocks for the double-double while Castaneda shot 6 of 10 with a pair of threes. Wichita State is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road gams and 4-9-2 ATS in their last 15 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games following a win. South Florida is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. The favorite is 3-0-1 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
I’ll give USF credit, as the Bulls have shown some maturity and already have wins over decent teams like Wofford and Cincinnati this season. However, I’m still not sold on this USF squad as I’ve seen the Bulls fall apart offensively and forget how to score more often than I’d care to remember and I just feel like I have trust issues with the Bulls. Wichita State is clearly a different team than the ones that were consistent elite 8 teams years ago, but this is still a really good team and getting a free bucket with the Shockers feels like an early Christmas gift. I’ll take Wichita State and the Shockers in this one.
