Indiana kicked off the year at 3-1, with a loss to Texas mixed in with wins over Tennessee Tech, Providence and Stanford. Since then it’s been a 2-2 run for the Hoosiers. Indiana has gotten wins 87-52 over North Alabama and 68-60 over Butler but otherwise lost to Florida State 69-67 and Northwestern 74-67.
In the loss to the Wildcats, Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis led the team on 22 points with nine rebounds and two assists. Armaan Franklin added 16 points with five rebounds and one assist, and Race Thompson posted 11 points with six rebounds and one assist as well.
Over on the Illinois side, they came out of the gate with wins over NC A&T, Chicago State and Ohio. The Illini are just 3-3 in their last six, however. The losses have come 82-69 to Baylor, 81-78 to Missouri and 91-88 to Rutgers, but Illinois has otherwise beaten Duke 83-68, Minnesota 92-65 and Penn State 98-81 in that frame.

Illinois is 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven Saturday games and 0-4 ATS in their last four after a straight-up win. The Illini are 11-27-1 ATS in the last 39 after an ATS win and the over is 11-1-1 in their last 13 overall.
Meanwhile, the Hoosiers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games and 5-0 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss. Indiana is 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 4-0 ATS in the last four road games.
PICK: I’m going to stick with Indiana. The Hoosiers have had a couple of relative dud games this season, like their 74-67 loss to Northwestern in their last outing. That said, Indiana has also hung pretty well with some tough opponents and even got within two points of Florida State. Illinois has been drilling in the points over their last five games (78 or more in each) so this will probably be another high-flying affair. I like the Hoosiers to stay in range on a cover, though. Should be a fun game to watch.
