The Oakland Golden Grizzlies and the Detroit Titans meet in college basketball action from Calihan Hall on Sunday afternoon.

The Oakland Golden Grizzlies will look to build off of their first win of the season, improving to 1-9 after a 77-75 win over the Titans last time out. Micah Parrish led Oakland with 18 points on 7 of 10 shooting with 8 rebounds and 3 steals while Daniel Oladapo chipped in 16 points on 7 of 12 shooting with 12 rebounds for the double-double. Trey Townsend added 10 points with 7 rebounds to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for the Grizzlies in the win. Jalen Moore also added 8 points with a team-high 13 assists as well in the victory for Oakland. Moore leads Oakland in scoring assists with an average of 15.8 points and 6.5 assists per game while oladapo leads the Golden Grizzlies in rebounding with 8.7 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Oakland is averaging 66.7 points on 35.9% shooting from the field, 28.1% from 3-point range and 62.9% from the foul line while allowing opposing teams to average 86.1 points on 49.6% shooting from the field and 41.6% from 3-point range this season.

The Detroit Titans will look to bounce back after having the dubious distinction of giving Oakland their first win of the year. Bui Kuol led the Titans with 28 points on 7 of 14 shooting with 6 threes while Antoine Davis added 18 points as the only other double-digit scorer for Detroit in the losing effort. Oakland is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 games as an underdog. Detroit is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the under is 10-2-1 in their last 13 games as a favorite. The underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.

I get why Detroit’s favored here, as it’s hard to get behind a now one-win team for back-to-back good performances and we’ve seen the team in these back-to-backs that lose game one usually bounce back in game two. On the other side, Detroit looked really bad against Oakland there and I just don’t know how ready I am to just jump back in. Instead, I’ll side with the over here. Both teams have had their fair share of issues on defenses and are also able to put points on the board in bunches on the other side of the floor, so I’ll back the over in this spot.
