As a team, North Texas is averaging 79.9 PPG on 50% shooting from the field, 41.3% from 3-point range and 70% from the foul line while allowing opposing teams to average 64.4 PPG on 41.7% shooting from the field and 34.9% from 3-point range this season.

The Loyola-Chicago Ramblers will look to add to their 6-2 start to the year after routing Illinois State by a final score of 86-55 last time out. Cameron Krutwig leads the Ramblers in scoring and rebounding, logging team-highs of 17.4 PPG and 6.6 RPG this season as the lone double-digit scorer for the Ramblers this season. Tate Hall just missed out on joining with 9.8 PPG as did Lucas Williamson who had 9.6 PPG as well as a team-high 2.9 APG and 4.4 RPG this season. Braden Norris also has 8.6 PPG and 2.9 APG of his own for Loyola-Chicago this season. As a team, Loyola-Chicago is averaging 80.6 PPG on 54.4% shooting from the field, 42.5% from 3-point range and 68.8% from the foul line while allowing opposing teams to average 60.9 PPG on 41.5% shooting from the field and 36.4% from 3-point range this season.

North Texas is 21-9 ATS in their last 30 games overall and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog while the under is 34-16-2 in their last 52 road games against a team with a winning home record. Loyola-Chicago is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games against a team with a losing road record while the over is 14-3 in their last 17 games overall.

I think you could make a case for either side here as both are really good defensively and are pretty good in terms of covering the number. However, for Saturday’s matchup with a level of unfamiliarity between the two, I’m going to side with the under. I think both sides will take a defensive approach to this game and we could see a game where the first to 65 wins. Give me the under here.
