The North Carolina Tar Heels will look to rebound from back-to-back losses after a 72-67 loss to Georgia Tech last time out. Armando Bacot led the way with 14 points on 5 of 8 shooting with a pair of steals and 5 rebounds while Leaky Black added 10 points on 5 of 7 shooting as the only other double-digit scorer for North Carolina in the loss. Garrison Brooks fell a point shy of a double-double with 9 points and a team-high 11 rebounds while Dayron Sharpe had 7 points with 7 rebounds and Kerwin Walton added 9 points with 4 assists. Notre Dame is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record. North Carolina is 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 9-2 in their last 11 games overall and 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400. The home team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.
I get why the Tar Heels are favored at home and they’re a lot more consistent in terms of winning games than Notre Dame for the most part. However, I feel that Notre Dame matches up pretty well with the Tar Heels here and even at home, this feels like a lot of points to give up to a North Carolina team that’s had issues shooting the ball this season. I think Notre Dame has the potential to keep this game within 4-5 points, so I’ll take my chances with Notre Dame and the points in this one.
