On Friday, Southern Miss had a little trouble dispatching UTEP, but the Eagles came alive in overtime to bang out the win. Tops in scoring for Southern Miss was Tyler Stevenson on 26 points with 10 rebounds and one steal.
The Eagles are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 Saturday games and the under is 5-1 in their last six Saturday games. Southern Miss is 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games and the under is 6-2 in their last eight overall.
Meanwhile, the Miners are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 Saturday games and the under is 23-7 in their last 30 Saturday games. UTEP is 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine overall.
PICK: I’m likely going to go with Southern Miss again in this one. The Golden Eagles have had a few tepid offensive performances this year (51 points versus Jacksonville, 38 versus Tulane, etc.) but can also put up a decent amount of points when the matchup is right. Friday’s game saw the Eagles scoring just 60 in the first two halves, but the 14-point overtime outburst was a nice way to seal the victory. Should be another good game.
