Army vs Colgate College Basketball Picks, Odds, Predictions 2/13/21

The Colgate Raiders and the Army Black Knights meet in college basketball action from Christi Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Colgate Raiders will look to build on a 78-60 win over Holy Cross last time out. Jordan Burns leads Colgate in scoring and assists with 17.6 PPG and 5.5 APG while Nelly Cummings has 12.9 PPG and Tucker Richardson has 10.1 PPG with 3.9 APG as well this season to make up Colgate’s group of double-digit scorers up to this point. Keegan Records also has 9.4 PPG and a team-high 8.5 RPG to lead Colgate on the glass this season. As a team, Colgate is averaging 86.5 PPG on 48.8% shooting from the field, 38.3% from 3-point range and 76.1% from the foul line while allowing 65.1 PPG on 39% shooting from the field and 24.4% from 3-point range this season.

The Army Black Knights will look to build on an 87-78 overtime win over Navy in their last matchup. Lonnie Grayson leads Army in scoring with 13.7 PPG and 4.9 RPG while Josh Caldwell has 12 PPG with 5.1 RPG and Alex King has 11.2 PPG and 4.2 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Army up to this point in the season. Jalen Rucker has 8.7 PPG with a team-high 3 APG and Nick Finke has a team-high 6.3 RPG as well for the Black Knights this season. As a team, Army is averaging 74 PPG on 46.6% shooting from the field, 33.5% from 3-point range and 61.2% from the foul line while allowing 67.8 PPG on 42.5% shooting from the field and 32.2% from 3-point range this season.

Colgate is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Saturday games and 17-6 ATS in their last 23 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. This is a hard one to call as you have a Colgate team that’s unbeaten on the road and 3-1 ATS against an Army team that’s 7-3 ATS in their last 10 and has had some success at home. In spots like this, I think there’s value with Army getting the points at home. Maybe it’s out of spite since Colgate burned me earlier this season, but I also think this could end up being a close game so I’ll take the points with Army to be safe.
