The Albany Great Danes and the Vermont Catamounts meet in college basketball action from Patrick Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon.

The Albany Great Danes will look to pull off another upset after taking down Vermont on Saturday by a final score of 63-62 as 13-point underdogs. C.J. Kelly leads Albany in scoring with 13.5 PPG as the Great Danes’ lone double-digit scorer heading into Sunday’s matchup while Kellon Taylor is 2nd in scoring with 9.8 PPG with a team-high 6.8 RPG and Antonio Rizzuto has 9.5 PPG for the Great Danes. As a team, Albany is averaging 63 points on 40.8% shooting from the field on 40.8% shooting from the field, 32.9% from 3-point range and 66.7% from the foul line while allowing opposing teams to average 65.5 points on 43.8% shooting from the field and 36.5% from 3-point range this season.

The Vermont Catamounts will try to bounce back after faltering against the Great Danes on Saturday, slipping to 2-3 on the year as a result. Ryan Davis leads Vermont in scoring, logging 23.3 PPG in addition to a team-high 6.7 RPG to lead the Catamounts on the glass. Albany is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 road games while the under is 13-5 in their last 18 games as an underdog. Vermont is 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games while the under is 9-3 in their last 12 games following a loss. The road team is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.

I get why the points are tempting as the Great Danes just beat Vermont on Saturday. However, I think Vermont’s too good of a team to just take that loss lying down and I think we see an inspired bounce back performance from Vermont in this spot so I’ll lay the points with the Catamounts here.
