The LSU Tigers and the Ole Miss Rebels meet Saturday in college basketball action from Mizzou Arena.

LSU opened up the year with a win over SIU-Edwardsville and a loss to Saint Louis. After that came a five-game win streak over Southeastern Louisiana, LA Tech, Sam Houston, Nicholls State and Texas A&M. After a loss to Florida, LSU managed to beat Georgia on Thursday.
In the overtime win over the Bulldogs, LSU’s top scorer was Cameron Thomas on 26 points with three rebounds and one assist. Javonte Smart added 21 points with four assists and five rebounds, while Darius Days doubled up on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Over on the Ole Miss side, they began the year with four straight wins before a loss to Dayton. Since then it’s been losses to Alabama and Wichita State sandwiched between a pair of wins over TN-Martin and Auburn.
In the 72-61 win over Auburn on Wednesday, Mississippi’s top scorer was Khadim Sy with 13 points and two rebounds in 12 minutes. Both Luis Rodriguez and Romello White notched 12 points apiece, combining for one assist and 10 rebounds.
Mississippi is 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 home games and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four as an underdog. The under is 7-3 in Ole Miss’ last 10 Saturday games and 9-1-1 in their last 11 overall.
Meanwhile, LSU is 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games after a straight-up win and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. LSU is 0-4 ATS in their last four road games and the over is 3-1-1 in their last five overall.
PICK: I’m going to take LSU. This should be a pretty excellent matchup, though. The Tigers have been impressive on offense this season, notching 77 or more points in each of their seven games. As for Ole Miss, they posted a great first half against Auburn with 43 points and only allowed 61 on the other side in a nice effort. If LSU can get off to a good start here and stay on the glass, I can see them powering out a cover/win. Should be a fun one.
