Butler is 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a double-digit home loss while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 games following a loss. St. John’s is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 Tuesday games while the over is 7-0 in their last 7 games following a loss. The home team is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings between these two teams and the favorite is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings between these two teams as well.
These are two teams that I’m truthfully not looking to back long-term, but for tonight I think I’ll have to back St. John’s. Butler’s been brutal on the road this season, going 0-3 straight up and 1-2 ATS and this line is low enough that if you take the free bucket, you’re pretty much expecting Butler to win on the road and I just don’t see it. I think St. John’s has enough talent and I expect Champagnie to dominate inside and get the Johnnies a much-needed win and cover in this one.
