The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Wichita State Shockers meet in college basketball action from the Charles Koch Arena on Wednesday night.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane will look to build off of their 6th straight win in the form of a 61-51 win over USF in their last outing. Brandon Rachal is the lone double-digit scorer for Tulsa up to this point in the year with 15.8 PPG along with a team-high 7.6 RPG while Elijah Joiner is averaging 9.2 PPG with 5.3 RPG and a team-high 4.3 APG to lead the Golden Hurricane in the assist department. The Wichita State Shockers will be looking to build off of an 82-76 win in their last outing. Tyson Etienne is the lone double-digit scorer for the Shockers up to this point with 17.7 PPG along with 3.9 RPG and 2.5 APG while Alterique Gilbert has 9.7 PPG with a team-high 3.2 APG this season. Tulsa is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. Wichita State is 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 13-5 in their last 18 home games. The home team is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.
This is going to be an awesome game between two of the more under the radar teams in the AAC. With that said, both teams have covered five straight games, but it’s Tulsa that comes in winning six straight and the last team the Golden Hurricane lost to was this same Wichita State team back on December 15th. I think the Golden Hurricane want some revenge here and the Golden Hurricane are also 3-0 SU on the road this seasn so getting a pair of free buckets with Tulsa sounds good to me. Give me Tulsa and the points in this one.
