The UNC-Asheville Bulldogs will look to build on their three-game winning streak after an 83-75 win over Charleston Southern last time out. Taijon Jones leads Asheville in scoring with 18.2 PPG while LJ Thorpe is 2nd in scoring with 12.4 PPG along with 4.9 RPG and a team-high 3.8 APG this season. Trent Stephney has 10.1 PPG with 3.5 APG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for UNC-Asheville coming into this game. Jamon Battle has 9.1 PPG with 4.5 RPG and Evan Clayborne has 8.2 PPG and a team-high 5.9 RPG this season. As a team, UNC-Asheville is averaging 76.5 PPG on 48% shooting from the field, 34.2% from 3-point range and 57.5% from the foul line while allowing opposing teams to average 72.3 PPG on 44.1% shooting from the field and 30.1% from 3-point range this season.

The Gardner-Webb Bulldogs come into this one will look to bounce back after a 91-83 loss to Winthrop in their last game. I’ve had a hard time picking these two teams apart and if that’s the case, I’m taking Asheville and the points. The Bulldogs just come into this game in much better from with winning three straight and I’ve just had a hard time getting a read on Gardner-Webb for much of the year. I’ll take the points with UNC-Asheville, but realistically I’m probably leaving this one alone.
