The Troy Trojans and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers meet in college basketball action from the HTC Center on Friday night.

The Troy Trojans will look to rebound from a 63-56 loss to Georgia Southern last time out. Zay Williams leads Troy in scoring and rebounding with 12 PPG and 7.6 RPG while Kam Woods is 2nd in scoring with 10.5 PPG and Nick Stampley has 10.3 PPG with 7 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Troy coming into this game. DeVante’ Jones leads the Chanticleers with 22.2 PPG along with 6.9 RPG and 3.8 APG with 3.7 steals per game while Deanthony Tipler has 16.1 PPG and Essam Mostafa has 13 PPG with a team-high 10.6 RPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Coastal heading into Friday’s matchup with Troy, averaging a double-double per game this season. Tyrik Dixon has 9.1 PPG and Ebrimma Dibba has 8.2 PPG with a team-high 5. APG on the year. This feels like a lot of points to give up in a conference game, but Coastal Carolina boasts a top-10 scoring offense while not giving up a ton of points on the defensive end. Troy is one of the country’s worst offensive units and while defense plays a part in this as well. I just don’t see how Troy keeps up with the Chanticleers here.
