The CSU-Bakersfield Roadrunners and the UC-Riverside Highlanders meet in college basketball action from the SRC Arena on Friday night.

The CSU-Bakersfield Roadrunners will look to build off of an 83-72 win over Hawaii last time out. Taze Moore has 10.8 PPG with 4.2 RPG and 3.2 APG and Justin Edler-Davis has 10.3 PPG with 4.4 RPG to make up the duo for CSU-Bakersfield in terms of double-digit scorers coming into this game. De’Monte Buckingham has 9.2 PPG with 5.2 RPG while Shaun Williams has 9 PPG and a team-high 3.2 APG. Ronne Readus also has a team-high 5.3 RPG this season for the Roadrunners. As a team, CSU-Bakersfield is averaging 72.5 PPG on 43.5% shooting from the field, 34.5% from 3-point range and 71.7% from the foul line while allowing 61.5 PPG on 40.2% shooting from the field and 30.8% from 3-point range this season.

The UC-Riverside Highlanders will look to add to their 70-53 win over Cal Poly last time out. Arinze Chidom leads the Highlanders in scoring with 13.8 PPG along with 5.3 RPG while Zyon Pullin has 12.1 PPG with team-highs of 5.9 RPG and 3.9 APG. Jock Perry has 11.9 PPG with 4.9 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Riverside coming into this game. Flynn Cameron has 9.4 PPG with 5.9 RPG and Dominick Pickett has 6.9 APG with 3.7 APG this season. As a team, UC-Riverside is averaging 71.7 PPG on 46.8% shooting from the field, 39.6% from 3-point range and 60.6% from the foul line while giving up 60.9 PPG on 37.7% shooting from the field and 27.8% from 3-point range this season.

CSU-Bakersfield is 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 Friday games. UC-Riverside is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 7-2-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall while the under is 5-2-1 in their last 8 games following a win.

I get the Highlanders being favored and to be honest I’ve been impressed with the Highlanders’ defense this season. However, the Highlanders have also had issues covering the number at home dating back to last season and Cal State-Bakersfield don’t have that problem as they’ve been covering the number left and right on the road. It’s a lean, but given the trends, I’ll take the Roadrunners and the points on the road here.

Chris Ruffolo's Free Pick: Cal State-Bakersfield +3.5
