The Davidson Wildcats and the UMass Minutemen meet Sunday in college basketball action from Mullins Center.

Davidson comes into this game at 9-5 overall. The Wildcats have won three straight and are coming off a win over Fordham. As for UMass, they’re 5-3 this season. The Minutemen have won three straight as well, with their last win coming over Fordham. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Davidson began their season on a 3-3 run with wins over High Point, UNLV and GA Southern. After a 3-1 run, the Wildcats fell to Dayton, then beat Saint Joseph’s, La Salle and Fordham in succession over their next three games.

In the 73-58 win over Fordham on Wednesday, Davidson’s Kellan Grady put up 24 points with seven rebounds and two assists. Luka Brajkovic added nine points with nine rebounds and one assist, and Lee Hyun-jung had eight points and three assists.

Over on the UMass side, their season began at 2-2 as the Minutemen took out Northeastern and La Salle while falling to Northeastern and Bryant. After a loss to George Mason, UMass won their next three over La Salle, Rhode Island and Fordham.

In last Sunday’s 65-46 win over Fordham, UMass’ Tre Mitchell led the team on 24 points with eight rebounds and one assist. TJ Weeks added 11 points in 17 minutes, and Ronnie DeGray had 10 rebounds with eight points and two assists.

The Minutemen are 21-4-2 ATS in their last 27 Sunday games and 20-5-1 ATS in their last 26 home games. UMass is 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall and the over is 7-1 in their last eight games overall.

Meanwhile, the Wildcats are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games versus a team with a winning home record. The over is 5-2 in Davidson’s last seven overall and the under is 4-1 in their last five road games.

PICK: I’m sticking with Davidson here. The Wildcats have notched some nice points totals lately, hitting 73 or more in six of their last seven outings. UMass has scored well themselves, with 75 or more points in seven of their eight games. This should be another high-scoring and fun matchup, and I think Davidson can power out a cover.
