The Washington State Cougars and the Colorado Buffaloes meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Coors Events Center.

The Buffaloes enter this one at 12-4 so far. As for Washington State, they’re sitting at 9-6 this year. This will be a rematch of Saturday’s game featuring these teams. In that one, Colorado managed an 11-point victory. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Washington State began their year on an eight-game win streak culminating with a victory over Northwestern State on December 23. Since then the Cougars have gone 1-6 with a win over California alongside losses to Arizona, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah and Colorado.

In Saturday’s 70-59 loss to the Buffaloes, Washington State’s Isaac Bonton led the team on 21 points with three assists and one rebound. Noah Williams added 16 points with three rebounds and two assists, and Dishon Jackson had 10 points with four rebounds in 29 minutes.

Over on the Colorado side, they went 6-2 over their first eight games, then had a nice 5-1 run with wins over USC, Oregon, Utah, California and Stanford. Since then it’s been a loss to Washington 84-80, then Saturday’s 70-59 victory over Washington State.

In the Saturday win, Colorado’s Evan Battey put up 16 points with five rebounds and McKinley Wright had 12 points with seven rebounds and four assists. D’Shawn Schwartz chipped in 11 points with two rebounds and two assists as well.

The Buffaloes are 2-6 ATS in their last eight Wednesday games and 7-0 ATS in their last seven home games. Colorado is 5-1 ATS in their last six overall and the over is 18-7-1 in their last 26 home games.

Meanwhile, the Cougars are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 Wednesday games and 8-18-1 ATS in their last 27 road games. Washington State is 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and the over is 13-3 in their last 16 road games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Colorado here. The Buffaloes were trailing 37-30 at the break in the Saturday game, but struck back with a 40-22 advantage in the second half on the way to the victory. Colorado was out-rebounded 31-30, but bagged 15 assists, six blocks and just 11 turnovers to help them turn the tide. This should be another great game, and I like the Buffaloes to eke out a cover.
