The Towson Tigers and the James Madison Dukes meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Atlantic Union Bank Center.

Towson comes into this one at 3-7 so far. The Tigers have lost consecutive games to Hofstra in their last pair of outings. As for James Madison, they’re 7-5 this year. The Dukes are 4-1 in their last five games and coming off a win over Northeastern. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Towson began their season with a four-game losing streak to Virginia, San Francisco, Buffalo and George Mason. The Tigers won three of their next four over Coppin State and UNC Wilmington (twice) but then lost a pair of games to Hofstra last weekend.

In Sunday’s 74-69 loss to the Pride, Towson’s Zane Martin led the team on 17 points with seven assists and three rebounds. Nicolas Timberlake added 15 points with seven rebounds in 31 minutes, and Solomon Uyaelunmo put up nine points with five boards.

Over on the James Madison side, they began their year at 2-2 with wins over Limestone and Radford. A 1-2 run followed before wins over Florida Atlantic, Chowan and Towson. Since then the Dukes have split with Northeastern 72-63 (loss) and 79-72 (win).

In Sunday’s win over the Huskies, James Madison’s Vado Morse led the team on 30 points with two assists and one rebound. Matt Lewis added 16 points with two assets and three rebounds, and Justin Amadi put up 11 points with five boards and one assist.

The Dukes are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games and 7-20 ATS in their last 27 after an ATS win. James Madison is 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall and the over is 5-1 in their last six overall.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six road games and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Towson is 1-5 ATS in their last six Wednesday games and the over is 10-4 in their last 14 after a straight-up loss.

PICK: I’m sticking with James Madison. The Tigers came up flat in their last two matchups against a good Pride team, and though they’ve had some good offensive outings this year Towson has been somewhat unreliable on the scoreboard from game to game. In any case, James Madison has hit 73 or more points in all but one of their last eight games, and I like another solid effort here.
