The Wagner Seahawks and the St. Francis (BKN) Terriers meet in college basketball action from Pope Physical Education Center on Saturday night.

The Wagner Seahawks will be looking to build on a 76-74 win over Long Island U last time out. Elijah Ford leads Wagner in scoring with 20.8 PPG along with 6.4 RPG while Alex Morales has 15.3 PPG with team-highs of 7.1 RPG, 5.6 APG and 1.7 steals per game this season. Will Martinez has 11 PPG with 5.3 RPG and 4.3 APG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Wagner up to this point in the year. As a team, Wagner is averaging 69 PPG on 41.8% shooting from the field, 30.2% from 3-point range and 63.6% from 3-point range while allowing 73.7 PPG on 45.2% shooting from the field and 35.4% from 3-point range this season.

The St. Francis (BKN) Terriers will look to bounce back after a 102-88 loss to Long Island U last time out. Chauncey Hawkins leads the Terriers in scoring and assists with 14.6 PPG with 5 APG while Travis Atson has 14 PPG with a team-high 7.4 RPG and Rob Higgins has 13.6 PPG with 2.3 APG this season. Unique McLean has 10.9 PPG with 7.4 RPG of his own to make up the group of double-digit scorers for St. Francis so far this season. As a team, St. Francis (BKN) is averaging 76.8 PPG on 44.1% shooting from the field, 30.9% from 3-point range and 68.4% from the foul line while allowing 79.8 PPG on 45.7% shooting from the field and 42.5% from 3-point range this season.

Wagner is 6-21 ATS in their last 27 road games and 16-36 in their last 52 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. St. Francis (BKN) is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 7-0-1 in their last 8 Thursday games.

This is an interesting clash of styles here as you have a Wagner team that’s not overly high scoring against a St. Francis team that can score, but also gives up almost 80 points per game this season. The difference for me here is that the Seahawks have had a tough go of it on the road, as their three road games this season consist of a pair of road games against Bryant and a road game against Seton Hall, with the Seahawks barely missing out on a pair of covers against Bryant. St. Francis has been average at best against teams in the conference and the Terriers did just give up 102 points to Long Island last time out. I like the value of the free bucket with Wagner here.
