The North Texas Mean Green and the Southern Miss Golden Eagles meet in college basketball action from Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Saturday evening.

The North Texas Mean Green will look to build on their 65-49 win over Southern Miss last time out. Javion Hamlet leads the Mean Green in scoring with 12.9 PPG and 4.3 APG while Jordan Reese has 10.7 PPG with 4 RPG and Zachary Simmons has 10.1 PPG with a team-high 6.2 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for North Texas up to this point in the season. I could understand why Southern Miss as a home dog is worth a look with revenge on their minds, but North Texas just shut the Eagles down on Friday and I don’t really see much different happening here. I think North Texas will tighten up on the defensive end once again and get the job done in stifling USM, so I’ll lay the points with North Texas on the road in this spot.
