South Florida vs Temple College Basketball Picks, Odds, Predictions 2/24/21

The Temple Owls and the South Florida Bulls meet Wednesday in college basketball action from USF Sun Dome. 

Temple enters this one at 4-10 so far. As for South Florida, they’re sitting at 8-8 this year. This will be a rematch of Sunday’s game featuring these teams. In that one, the Bulls pulled off a seven-point victory. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place. 

Temple began their season at .500 with a 4-4 run through their first eight games. Since then the Owls have hit a six-game losing streak, however. In that stretch, they’ve lost to Tulane, Cincinnati, Wichita State, Cincinnati again, Tulsa and South Florida. 

In the 83-76 loss to USF on Sunday, Temple’s Khalif Battle led the way on 32 points with 10 rebounds and five assists. Both JP Moorman and Jake Forrester put up 10 points apiece with a combined two assists and seven rebounds. 

Over on the South Florida side, they were sitting at 7-5 back on January 9 and coming off a win over East Carolina. After a month-long break, the Bulls have come back at 1-3, losing to Houston, Tulane and UCF before the win over Temple on Sunday. 

In the Sunday victory over Temple, South Florida’s Xavier Castaneda led the team with 18 points, three rebounds and three assists. David Collins had 14 points with four assists and three rebounds, and Alexis Yetna had 12 points with seven boards. 

The Bulls are 17-37-1 ATS in their last 55 Wednesday games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games. The over is 4-1 in USF’s last five overall and the under is 22-10-1 in their last 33 home games. 

Meanwhile, the Owls are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six Wednesday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games. Temple is 5-2 ATS in their last seven as a road underdog and the over is 5-2 in their last seven overall. 

PICK: I’m going to take Temple in this one. The Owls shot a solid 44.0 percent in the Sunday game and a 35-34 rebounding age as well. Temple coughed up 17 turnovers to the Bulls’ seven however, and were behind 35-29 after a slow first half. I like the Owls to come back stronger in this one and bang out a cover. Should be another good game.
