The Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Ohio Bobcats meet Thursday in college basketball action from Ohio University Convocation Center.

Eastern Michigan enters this one at 4-10 overall. The Eagles have lost six straight games, most recently to Bowling Green. As for Ohio, they’re 12-6 this year. The Bobcats have won five straight and are coming off a victory over Akron. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Eastern Michigan was sitting at 4-4 back in mid-January, but the team hasn’t been able to win a game since then. The Eagles have lost to Central Michigan, Buffalo, Miami-OH, Akron, Kent State and Bowling Green over their last six games.

In the 82-69 loss to Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan’s Ty Groce led the way on 23 points with seven rebounds and two assists. Bryce McBride added 15 points, and Noah Morgan had 14 points with seven rebounds and two assists.

Over on the Bobcats’ side, they went 7-6 through their first 13 games and weren’t able to win more than two consecutively in that time. Since then however, Ohio has beaten Ball State, Western Michigan, Buffalo, Central Michigan and Akron in succession.

In the 90-73 win over Akron on Tuesday, Ohio’s Ben Roderick and Ben Vander Plas each notched 17 points, combining for five assists and 15 rebounds. Both Mark Sears and Miles Brown notched 12 points apiece, combining for 10 assists and eight boards.

The Bobcats are 4-1 ATS in their last five as a favorite and 19-7 ATS in their last 26 overall. Ohio is 4-0 ATS in their last four after an ATS win and 12-3 ATS in their last 15 home games.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven as an underdog. Eastern Michigan is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 Thursday games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Ohio. The Bobcats seem to have things figured out pretty well lately, and they’re on a nice run over these last five games. Ohio has also been scoring quite well this year, with 70 or more points in each of their last 12 games. The cover should be there for the Bobcats in this one if they keep rolling.
